From her early professional experience in London to serving at the National Assembly during her NYSC, she went on to become a councilor representing Wuse Ward under AMAC, where she served as Minority Leader from 2013–2016. Hon. Zainab later joined the Office of the Vice President as Technical Assistant on the Rule of Law Advisory Team, contributing significantly to domestic and sexual violence interventions.

She has served on multiple national boards, including the Federal Medical Centre Gusau and the Nigerian Film Corporation, and continues to champion development through various organizations and political assignments.
